BRANFORD, CT – NBC 4 New York / WNBC, Telemundo 47, WNJU, and Stop & Shop will hold a large-scale food drive to support regional food banks during their campaign “Feeding Our Families”/ “Alimentando a Nuestras Familias” on June 1, 8am-6pm. The collection will take place at nearly 200 tri-state Stop & Shop locations, including Connecticut. The Stop & Shop on 22 Leetes Island Road in Branford will be accepting non-perishable food items on behalf of the Branford Food Pantry.

WHAT TO DONATE

Non-perishable food items are being collected by volunteers at the entrances of Stop & Shop in Branford. Sample “shopping list” items include:

     Canned black beans, soups, vegetables and fruit

     Canned proteins such as tuna/chicken/ham/corned beef

     Peanut Butter

     Rice, Cereal, Pasta

     Shelf stable almond and/or oat milk

     Baby food and formula

WHERE

The “Feeding Our Families”/Alimentando a Nuestras Familias” food collection drive will take place on June 1 at the Stop & Shop located on Leetes Island Road, Branford, CT, between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM.
