On Saturday, September 13, 2025, our community came together in an incredible way to support Branford families in need. The Branford Food Pantry is proud to share the success of this year’s Feeding Our Families food drive, held at Stop & Shop in partnership with NBC, Telemundo, and Stop & Shop.
Because of your generosity, we collected more than 2,500 pounds of food and $1,170 in cash donations—all of which will go directly toward feeding local households right here in Branford.
From the moment doors opened at 8 a.m. until the close of the event at 6 p.m., shoppers showed their compassion by adding a few extra items to their carts and placing them in the hands of our dedicated volunteers. Every can of beans, every box of cereal, every dollar donated added up to something far greater: peace of mind for our neighbors who face the daily challenge of food insecurity.
This event couldn’t have come at a more important time. Across Connecticut, many families continue to struggle with rising grocery costs and limited resources. Thanks to your donations—whether it was a single jar of peanut butter, a bag of rice, or a generous financial gift—we are able to keep our shelves stocked and ensure that no Branford family goes hungry.
