The Great Give 2026: 36 Hours to Make a Difference
This May 6–7, the Branford community has a powerful opportunity to come together in support of neighbors in need. The Branford Food Pantry is proud to participate once again in The Great Give, a 36-hour online giving event that unites donors across the region to support local nonprofits doing critical work every day.
A Community Effort, Rooted in Compassion
Since 1978, the Branford Food Pantry has served as a lifeline for individuals, seniors, and families facing food insecurity. Founded by local churches and powered entirely by volunteers, the Pantry operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.
Rising Need, Growing Impact
Today, the demand for our services is higher than ever. We are seeing an unprecedented number of families turning to the Branford Food Pantry for weekly assistance, and new households continue to register each month. Meeting this growing need requires not only dedication, but resources.
Our shelves are stocked through a combination of partnerships and generosity. We rely on Connecticut Foodshare, along with donations from local grocery stores, churches, community groups, and individuals. We also purchase fresh produce year-round.

Participating in The Great Give allows us to amplify the support we receive from our community. Every donation made during this 36-hour event helps us continue and expand our mission.
