Construction Closure Scheduled for September 4–21, 2026
The Branford Food Pantry is excited to announce some much-needed improvements to our facility that will help us continue serving our neighbors in need safely, efficiently, and effectively for years to come.
To complete this important work, the Branford Food Pantry will be temporarily closed for construction beginning Friday, September 4, 2026, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
What’s Being Improved?
During the temporary closure, our team will be working on two significant upgrades:
- A new conveyor system to improve the movement and handling of food throughout the pantry.
- New flooring to create a safer, cleaner, and more functional workspace for our volunteers and the community we serve.
These improvements are an important investment in the future of the Branford Food Pantry. While the work may temporarily interrupt our normal operations, the result will be a better environment for our volunteers and a more efficient pantry for the neighbors who depend on us.
Please Plan Ahead
Our last day for food pickup before the construction closure will be Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The Pantry will then remain closed from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 21, reopening on:
Tuesday, September 22, 2026
Please plan your food pickup accordingly.
There will also be no home deliveries while the pantry is closed.
Thank You for Your Patience and Support
We understand that a temporary closure may create challenges for some of the neighbors we serve, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while this work is completed.
The Branford Food Pantry has been serving our community for decades, and these improvements will help us continue that mission into the future. We are grateful to our volunteers, donors, community partners, and everyone who helps make it possible for us to provide groceries to our neighbors in need.
This is an exciting step forward for the pantry, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back on Tuesday, September 22!
Thank you for your continued support as we improve our facility and prepare for an even stronger future of serving the Branford community.
